Truly special

What a wonderful place to stay! We had just spent 8 days biking Savaii and had picked up a car as we were going to spend 3 days seeing Upolu. This was the last place that Outdoor Samoa had booked for us and what a treat!. We were the only guests and the fales were really pretty with the bonus of gorgeous towels and really clean and neat facilities. The dinner was fantastic and there was attention to detail everywhere. The lady who manages the fale was really interesting to talk with and it was also lovely to meet some of her children. you will love Sweetie! The next day she organised a guide for us and we were fortunate enough to see the giant clams –  probably one of the highlights of the 10 days in Samoa. We should have stayed longer, give yourself at least 2 days at this magic spot

Traditional experience
This is by far the best beach fale set up I have stayed at (and I’ve been to a few). Comfortable beds with crisp white sheets and fluffy towels. Spotless bathroom. A little more expensive than many places but well worth it. The meals were superb and my husband was so pleased to be given fish, taro and all the traditional foods. The waterfront is lovely and the giant clam conservation area is a great step forward for this endangered species. There were bikes and kayaks for guests use. I would return tomorrow if possible.

Although we didn’t stay overnight here (due to the fact that we had already prepaid our accom), we will definitely book in next year. We only discovered this gem during a drive around Upolu. We stopped in for a morning tea break and ended up staying for 1 1/2 hours! Ross and Maria were very welcoming and we had a lovely, relaxing time and some great conversation. Everything was spotlessly clean, including restrooms (sadly, often a rarity in Samoa), and we look forward to staying on our next visit.

I want to share a little spot in Paradise…. Le Valasis Beach Fales, Savaia-Tai, Lefaga is owned by Ross & Maria Jones… They offer accommodation at very reasonable rates, which includes B/Fast and Dinner…Valasis Fales also hire Kayaks, Snorkel gear, Beach shoes & Bicycles. The property also has internet for hire, and they advertise ‘Tea, Coffee & Cakes’ for the weary day-traveller. Ross & Maria are wonderful hosts… their facilities are very modern, clean and comfortable. I wish them every success in their venture, and hope that my comments will encourage anyone travelling to Samoa to look them up and support them as they continue with their little spot in Paradise !! Guest: KathyJ | Visited in: May 2009
As we cycled along, famished after riding up and down an enormous hill/mountain we saw the sign “Coffee/Sandwiches” outside this beautiful and lovingly restored historic family fale. It seemed like an apparition and we were so glad we ventured in. Ross and Maria were warm, chatty and attentive hosts, and the lush sandwiches and real coffee hit the spot! Accommodation is also available in individual fales they have recently built. A great choice as a stopover on a tour of the Upolu or as a destination in itself. Guest: Mickle | Visited in: May 2012
Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality during our 5 day stay with you! We miss you both and Mariama, and of course Sheila and Lulu the wondercat! We had the most fantastic time with you all – your fale are so lovely and comfortable and the gardens are simply gorgeous, not to mention the meals! We can’t wait to return in September and see you all again. Until then, here are some photos of our stay…more on the way in the mail shortly. Anyone reading this post – STAY AT Le’ VALASI’S for a most fantastic true Samoan experience! Guest: Tova W | Visited in: 2012
